Here’s the truth — fear doesn’t always roar.

Sometimes it whispers.
Soft. Sneaky. In a voice you almost believe is logic.

I thought fear sounded like:

“You need more experience.”
“Wait until you feel ready.”
“This might not work.”

That was me — head in books, heart in a hospital day job, saying things like “I’ll do it next year… next month… after this certification.”

I had quiet fear dressed up as reason. I told myself I was being responsible — and I believed it.

But what I was really doing was putting off my own expansion.

Here’s what no one told me early on:

Therapists are trained to pause, analyze, and reflect—clinically. But in business growth? That instinct can keep you stuck.

Growth isn’t neutral.

It doesn’t arrive when the music begins.
It arrives first as a flutter, then a choice, then a step.

And friends? That choice is always a little scary.

When I finally said out loud,

“I want my own practice,”
I wasn’t filled with courage.
I was filled with doubt, excitement, and a whole lot of questions.

That’s normal.
